KICKING OUT A HOMELESS MAN AND MORE WALLPAPER REMOVAL Picture of the closet door in my studio.  When you look at this door frame you can really see how uneven the house is but this picture does not do it justice.  That corner by the door frame is definitely a high spot. That hideous bathroom is gone.  This is the weekend that we had a homeless man build himself a shelter on the side of our garage.  I had to chase him off and eventually ended up calling the police.  He had a fire right beside our garage.  That garage has our kitchen cabinets, old farmhouse front door, and all the old windows that I have collected.  It would have been a huge loss if he caught our garage on fire. I was so so very mad. I piled up all the wood that was laying in the yard while Chad was working on taking down the bathroom. TIME TO CATCH UP ON THE HOUSE BLOG This is my studio.  Sage did the huge job of removing the paneling and the drywall from this room.  I am now pealing off the wallpaper and then steaming off the cardboard type paper backing.  I prop up the wallpaper steam in a spot with a trim board and continue peeling the wallpaper in another area.  After one song has played I remove the steamer and scrap off the paper.  Comes off pretty easy after 5 minutes of steaming.  It is just time consuming.  As you can see I have the doors pilled up in there.  I am going to keep the doors white but I plan on sanding them a bit and repainting them.  Some of the doors have deep dog scratches in them.  These doors are so heavy.  Beautiful beautiful doors.  I love them.  What the wall looks like after I have steamed some of the paper off.  It is stunning.  It has been a dream of mine to live in a log house.  This is darn close to livi...
